Who Will Dwell In Heaven?

Read Psalm 15

Here we have the author David beginning the Psalm by asking all of us a most vital question. This question affects everyone who has and is and will live on this Earth. Read verse 1. The question is “Who may abide in your tabernacle?” Some versions say sanctuary or tent. It also asks “Who may dwell in your Holy hill?” The question in plain terms is who can live with you God in Heaven?

David then answers the question by telling us the type of person who will be allowed the privilege and honor of dwelling in God’s tabernacle. The answer given here can also be found throughout the Bible as man continues to search to find out how to live with God eternally.

Now notice in Psalm 15:3-5 how this person treats God and his neighbors on his way to Heaven.

  1. No slander in their tongue
  2. No mistreatment of their neighbor
  3. Does good to their friends
  4. Honor God and those that fear God
  5. Keep their promises
  6. Lend their money to others
  7. Takes no bribes

This type of life is stated plainly by Jesus.
