Do You Have Any Regrets?

As one looks back on their life, there are many events and actions that one regrets that they were involved in. When one has lived a faithful life here on Earth in service to the Lord and goes to meet the Lord on judgment day, there are events and actions in their life that they will not regret having done.

  1. You will not regret having studied the Bible. Romans 10:17 tells us “So that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.”
  2. You will not regret having been present for every service of the church. You will realize how much it helped you to grow spiritually and helped others by being there and more importantly you obeyed the Lord’s command given in Hebrews 10:25.
  3. You will not regret having brought your children up as the Lord commanded. Ephesians 6:4 tells parents to “bring them up in nurture and admonition of the Lord.” You will contribute to your children’s happiness and also to your own.
  4. You will not regret having kept your heart, your speech and your life pure. You will not regret having become a Christian and serving the Lord. You will be glad that you heard the word and believed it, repented of your wrongs and confessed Jesus before others and having been baptized for the remission of your sins, put on Christ and started your new life.

The question for you today is “Will you have any regrets when you meet the Lord on judgment day?” If so, you need to do something about them today while you can. Do not go through one more day with any regrets that you can do something about today. You might tell yourself that it doesn’t matter now but you will see on judgment day that it does matter. You will have regrets on that day but it will be too late to do anything about them.
