Wednesday Evening Bible Study

A Christian teenager refused a date to the movies, choosing rather to attend Bible study on Wednesday evening. She thought this was the right thing to do.

While at the church building, she looked for her Sunday morning Bible class teacher – but he wasn’t there. She looked for a couple of other familiar faces – but they were not there either. Some of the deacons were not there. The man who led singing Sunday morning was not there. Many of her teenage friends were not there. The crowd was much smaller than what it was on Sunday mornings.

As she left, she thought, “Next time, I guess I will go to the movies.”

It is hard to measure the importance of seeing one another at services. It is good for us to come. Our souls need it, but so do we need to be there for one another.

Your presence says:

  • Christ is important to me.
  • I want this church to do well.
  • I’m busy, but God must come first.
  • I want to learn more about the Bible.
  • I am interested!

WHAT YOU DO SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WHAT YOU SAY!

How is your Wednesday night attendance? What is it really saying to others? If you haven’t been coming – start this week! See you on Wednesday!

Remember we are members of one another!
