Love

Very few words can bring about the effect that the word LOVE can on a person. If you were to tell someone that you love them, it could bring on happiness inside, and shine outside. But if you were to tell someone that you didn’t love them, it could bring tears and sadness deep into their heart. This being the case, we need to be careful how we use the word LOVE, and understand its meaning before we use it.

I Corinthians 13:4-8 says “Love suffereth long, and is kind, love envieth not, love vaunteth no iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth, beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things, Love never faileth.” This is the definition of LOVE. John 14:15 says “If you love me, keep My commandments.” God knows whether or not you love Him. You tell God by how you live. If you follow His commands, He knows that you love Him. If you do not follow God, but do as you please, then God knows that you do not love Him.

Yes, the word LOVE can bring a good feeling or sadness when spoken. What kind of reaction does God get when He sees your life? Do you bring gladness or sadness?
